Donna Angelle & her Zydeco Posse played at the Hopkins VFW, sponsored by the Krewe. I was there early with Flory Katz to help with the free lessons before the dance. When we rolled up, and walked to the front door, the band was there unloading their instruments.
Before I forget, during Donna's break, Doug had Flory's lesson music playing. Well, I was standing near where Donna was taking her break, and moving around to the music. Donna got up and started moving with me. By God, Donna Angelle has got some moves. She was smooth. I don't know why I was, and am surprised, this is her music and culture. I guess I was just pleasantly surprised, and glad to be able to two-step with her. Oh, and the song was by Step Rideau, who I think is someone Donna has a certain amount of respect for.
